2014 Coger Memorial Hall of Fame Winner Announced

The 2014 Darrell Awards Jury met this evening & selected FRANK TUTTLE to be inducted into the Dal Coger Memorial Hall of Fame for his extraordinary contributions to Midsouth literacy.

In addition to his Markhat series of fantasy novels (which have been Finalists for or won the Darrell Awards as Best Science Fiction or Fantasy Novel several years in a row), Frank was selected for his published short stories, including those appearing in Anthology 1: The Far Corners, On The Road: Mallara and Burn, and Wistril Compleat, as well as his novella Passing The Narrows.

The Dal Coger Memorial Hall of Fame Award is given annually to an author who has a substantial body of work that was eligible for the Darrell Award but was not considered during its period of eligibility. It is named in memory of Dalvan R. Coger, who was very active in Midsouth SF/F fandom for decades & was a member of First Fandom.

The Award will be presented during the Banquet on Saturday night at this year’s MidSouthCon. Please see their website at http://www.midsouthcon.org for details of the convention & to register and get your Banquet ticket.
