2014 Nominations Are Now Closed

Nominations for the 2014 Darrell Awards and for authors to be considered this time for the Coger Memorial Hall of Fame are now closed.

In fact, they closed at midnight on 1-1-14.

As usual, we had a long list of seemingly-eligible works that were not Nominated. Depending on the type of work, this may have been the only time it could be considered for these Awards. We did not hear back from some of the authors who won or who were otherwise recognized in previous years.

In other words, there are always limits to what the Jury sees. Even so, it appears that we have another good mix of stories to consider. It will be tough to come up with the list of Finalists by March 1st.

Our next Jury meeting is in a week. Now that Nominations are closed, reading gets serious.
